This morning, waiting on the platform after a rather sleepless night, feeling deja vu and jetlag like after a booze night, trying to focus on the world around

first you hear it
loudly rolling cabin bag
then the world is legs

once seated in the train, my front neighboors are looking hesitantly at me and finally show me the floor. Felt like an idiot having let something fall or drop from my bag, but nothing to do with that, I just gave a lift to a spider. We urban citizens have lost the link to a no fly house.

Commuting in August feels like nothing else. While outside the heat is raging, and a hot dry air just squeezes your skin out of any drop of water, inside the tube the cool air of spring still survives. Well, till you're got in the car.

Unlike other months, the crowd in August is a real mix of colours, nationalities, social classes, and smells. Nowhere else can the term of melting pot really appear appropriate, Paris being, even if in some areas the cooking has not been yet finished, a rather harmonious salad bowl.

Because of that mix, and just for this month in the year, unusual things like smiling or talking to each other in the subway becomes for a short span of time possible again.

Tonight, coming back home with the tube at the beginning of evening, enjoyed listening to an horrible blues, sung by a drunken man with the help of a two note harmonica solo and loud bangs on the door and handling bar, smiling to my neighboor and watching a bee taken out of a young woman sleeve by a helpful tourist flying all around us.

Helped two tourists facing with round eyes the information board on the RER platform so they could take the right train. Got in the car, in front of me a woman was just dancing, her eyes closed, lost in her music, while my immediate neighboor dragon tatto seemed bigger than the Freeman's.

It seems easier those days to speak to unknown people, just to share fun or beauty we got in front of our eyes. I like August.
